Bug Description

ISO Testing for 10.04.2
Build: http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/ubuntu-server/lucid/daily/20110211.1/lucid-server-i386.iso
TestCase: http://testcases.qa.ubuntu.com/Install/ServerWhole#Preseeded%20Installation

After installation completes, the CD is ejected and kernel panic occurs: kernel panic - not syncing: VFS: Unable to mount root fs on unknown-block(0,0)

Same error message displayed when trying to boot the system from shutdown state.

Does this platform work with ubuntu-10.04-alternate-i386.iso or ubuntu-10.04-desktop-i386.iso ?

I re-ran this test case in a VM, without an issue. My kvm from TestDrive was:

        kvm -m 1024 -smp 4 -cdrom /local/virt/iso/lucid-server-i386.iso -drive file=/home/kirkland/.cache/testdrive/img/testdrive-disk-ciHH42.img,if=virtio,cache=writeback,index=0,boot=on -usb -usbdevice tablet -net nic,model=virtio -net user -soundhw es1370 -vga cirrus

This may be a hardware issue?

I set it to incomplete, and it will expire if we get no further evidence that it is not a problem with the hardware.
