I tried to install Tomboy from both add/remove in Applications, and through Synaptic. Add/remove failed. Synaptic told me I needed old libraries. Did that.
Tomboy came up once, without recognizing any of my prior notes, when I called it up through a terminal window.
But since then--nothing.
Not sure what the problem is, but have attached report.
Could part of the problem be that Tomboy is now at version 0.5.0, and the repository is at 0.4.1?

Feisty is at 0.5.0, which repository do you mean for 0.4.1?

Which libraries did synaptic complain about?

In the feisty AMD64 repository, Tomboy is only at version 0.4.1.
I did not make a note of which library it did not use. So I un-installed it, upgraded all my packages, and re-installed it. This time Tomboy did not complain about the libraries, but Tomboy 0.4.1 still installs, and still does not recognize my previous notes stored in .tomboy.

Can you please attach one of the not-recognized .note files to this bugreport here?

0.5.0 only built on PPC this time, should be available for other architectures very soon though.

As per your request, I tried to upload one of my files that doesn't install. I got an error message saying that the file was blank! I tried three separate files. They all seem to be blank. How could that happen? I have moved them around but not tampered with them, that I know of.

Hm no idea... I guess it could be filesystem corruption... are other files broken too?

Please close out this bug. Problem has been solved and was partly due to improper file saving on a USB device and partly to user error.
Thank you.
