Bug Description
Binary package hint: vlc
Bug seen at v1.1.7 and previous.
* VLC is not able to reconnect interrupted video stream
* VLC "hangs" with 100 % CPU load
The problem can be reproduced as follows:
Replay a video stream from the Internet via VLC, then dis- and reconnect the DSL modem (which fetches a new IP in my case). VLC is not able to reconnect to the video stream (MJPEG, MPEG-4).
When the video is a MPEG-4 stream via the rtsp protocol, VLC hangs with 100 % CPU load and does not react on GUI button clicks any more; it needs to be terminated by the task manager then.
