Bug Description
The kerrnel disconnects PL2303 w/o preamble. I have an ISDN modem attached so lose the internet, of course. The problem is intermittent, sadly.
This is brand new w/the advent of Edgy. No prior happenings of this sort through all development stages/release of Dapper.
The logs state thus:
Nov 30 07:06:24 flight6 kernel: [17218608.100000] usb 2-2: USB disconnect, address 2
Nov 30 07:06:24 flight6 kernel: [17218608.100000] pl2303 2-2:1.0: device disconnected
Nov 30 07:06:24 flight6 pppd[3726]: Hangup (SIGHUP)
No indication what caused this but I highly suspect the PL2303 module in the kernel. This began happening only with the advent of Edgy.
