Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping and helping to make Ubuntu better. Unfortunately, the package installation log attached to this bug report does not contain any useful information. Could you check your system for a non-empty /var/log/apt/term.log and attach it to the report? Please set the status back to New if you do. Thanks in advance.

It looks like there were some errors in the communication with your hardware.

After some attempts installing (yes, I've been trying all this time) I finally found out that the cause of the failure was a faulty HDD with physical errors.

I tried installing in another part of the disk and it worked, but a c ouple of days later it gave me a kernel panic. Now I need to get a new HDD for this computer.

Thanks for the help. :)

I'm sorry to hear about your hardware troubles and wish you luck in installing Ubuntu the future. I'm closing this bug report though since there is nothing we can do about faulty hardware.
