Bug Description

Viewing my Thai and Japanese song titles and artists shows scrambled text and weird pictures.

Better support is needed for different language characters?

Thank you for your bug. What version of Ubuntu and rhythmbox do you use? Could you attach an example of boggus song to the bug?

I used Rhythmbox 0.11.5 come with ubuntu 8.04 installation.

I attach a screenshort display 4 windows.
2 on the left, Rytmbox and its Basic Tap display wrong script for Thai Fonts.
2 on the right, Details Tap and File browser (>Places>Computer>CDROM> ) Display correct Thai Fonts.

So your program can display correct Thai script only in the "Individual Song Property Window / Details Tab"

Please correct this, and I will try to promote your program and try to translate into Thai.

Best Wishes to everyone and thanks for all the great work.
By the way some how ,,,, musics play by your program is clearer and more instruments sound prominent than Totem Movie Player

Thanks Thanks you all

@aimwin: Do you still have this problem?

I don't have any problems with Japanese and Chinese (Mandarin & Cantonese) songs. Could this only happen with songs tagged with Thai language?
I will try to get my hands on Thai music.

I am running Rhythmbox 2.96 in Ubuntu Precise Pangolin 64-bit with Unity 3D.

There have been many changes in Ubuntu since that time you reported the bug and your problem may have been fixed with some of the updates.
