Bug Description

hi

iam using dapper 6.06 64 bit OS. all my office applications crash when i use the wizards option which uses the jre.

when i go to tools/options/java it takes a lot of time to show the version of java( kinda hangs) and finally lists as gcj 1.2.4 free software foundation. i installed ia 32 sun java and that shows in options, but again hangs when i select it.

it is working with sun java 32 bit jre , but slow when opening wizards and also radio buttons seem distorted.( not perfectly circular-jagged)

a lot of 64 bit users seem to be having this issue on other distros as well .

i downloaded this ubuntu version a month back

runs fine when i disable java.

regards

rajeev

Rajeev,

I believe that this issue is resolved in Ubuntu 7.04. Can you see if the issue still shows up for you on Ubuntu 7.04?

Thanks,

Chris Cheney

Well it does not happen in feisty but maybe since dapper is LTS this thing could be worked on for dapper .
