Bug Description

This is a regression in Edgy. Gaim 1.x didn't have this problem.

This bug is already fixed upstream (in 2.0.0beta5). So this is actually a request to update Ubuntu Gaim package. Sorry it it's misfiled.

Thank you for your bug. Feisty has gaim 2.0beta5, the bug is already fixed then, marking as fixed. We might backport a patch to edgy if somebody figures what change fixes it and the patch is easy enough

I just tried to look through many mb diff. Looks like awful lots of encoding changes went in. Sorry, don't have enough time to separate this very change :(
