Bug Description
A number of packages require other packages to attain the functionality that the user expects of them. For this reason they list these packages in the recommends: header, according to debian policy. The installer needs to install these packages. Failure to do so currently leaves a number of packages "broken" as far as a typical user is installed, because installing them via gnome-app-install and then trying to use them results in esoteric error messages due to the missing recommended packages.

This was planned for Edgy and will perhaps come with Feisty. Michael Vogt implemented this at apt level. Along with support for automatically removing former and now obsolete dependencies of removed packages.
