Bug Description

Binary package hint: plasma-widget-fancytasks

Adding the Fancy Task Widget to the desktop crashes plasma every time. If I install the source and build it myself it installs fine

Perhaps the packages needs to be recompiled for 4.6.1?

Just tested with clean 11.04 install - still present.

Same bug with the normal Kubuntu 11.04 Natty Narwhal, with kernel 2.6.38-10-generic, kde version 4.6.2.
Only way to use kde again was a sudo apt-get remove plasma-widget-fancytasks.

I can confirm this, too. Kubuntu 11.04, Fancy Tasks crashes plasma every time.

This package has been removed from the Ubuntu development release, so I am closing all remaining open bug reports.
