Bug Description

Please backport vlc 0.8.6 final to edgy, which is already in feisty.
At the moment there is a svn snapshot from october in edgy.

Cool, I built my own frankenstein'ed vlc 0.8.6 package and can attest VLC 0.8.6 builds and works on Edgy, and also attest that the recent official Ubuntu upload builds and runs too.

Please allow me a bit more testing time.
