Bug Description

Binary package hint: wengophone

when I sign in with my account openwengo crashes. I will attach the reduced error report

We can find in http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=405439 that the maintainer is saying openwengo rc 5 is not ready for deployment.

No, there is not going to be an Openwengo 2.0 (final). See

The package maintainer is going to use 2.1.

The version you get in Openwengo site is really good for daily use. I
recommend it as workaround, since i use it myself on Edgy.

Any version compiled by anyone is not going to be "that good'. Openwengo
and GCC 4.1 known issues, QT 4.2 issues, CMAKE migration, etc.

If 2.1 cannot be included in Edgy, this version should be removed from universe, IMHO. Hopefully, 2.1 will be released soon.

2.1rc1 was released today and is pretty good ! Not perfect but really good. It also offers support for non wengo SIP account. see http://openwengo.org/

Yes, 2.1rc1 from http://www.openwengo.org/ actually works more or less (talked to 333, sent an SMS to myself).
