Rhythmbox cannot open an mp3 stream

Bug Description

Binary package hint: rhythmbox

When trying to open an mp3 stream from www.radiohelsinki.fi rhythmbox just displays "Connecting" at the lower right corner and hangs. This happens with all the mp3-streams at the site. I am using current edgy (28/12/06) and:

rhythmbox 0.9.6-0ubuntu4
libgstreamer0.10-0 0.10.10-1ubuntu2

I ran rhythmbox with debugger and sent SIGINT to the process. The resulting backtrace seems to indicate that this might be a problem with gstreamer trying to read the id3-tag from the stream (just a wild guess).

Thank you for your bug. I've just tried with http://217.30.180.253:7070/listen.pls on feisty and that works fine. Maybe the bug has been fixed since. Do you have the same problem if you use "gst-launch playbin uri=http://217.30.180.253:7070" by example?

It crashes like rhythmbox does:

isido@koti:~$ gst-launch-0.10 playbin uri=http://217.30.180.253:7070
Setting pipeline to PAUSED ...
Pipeline is PREROLLING ...

and after a while, crash. I cannot unfortunately upgrade to feisty yet.

The problem is fixed with the new gstreamer packages, upgrading libgstreamer, libgstreamer-plugins-base and gstreamer0.10-plugins-good0.10 to the current feisty versions fixes the problem, marking the bug fixed
