Oh this should more than likely be in network-manager-openvpn

I've run into this today setting up my desktop. Oddly enough, it does not occur on my laptop which had the VPNs set up in 10.10.

adding

<policy at_console="true">
                <allow own="org.freedesktop.NetworkManager.openvpn"/>
                <allow send_destination="org.freedesktop.NetworkManager.openvpn"/>
</policy>

to
/etc/dbus-1/system.d/nm-openvpn-service.conf

fixes it , but I assume there is security related problem with this setup .

Moving this to network-manager-openvpn, and marking 'Confirmed'.

I just installed Natty and did an update that was available after the install and I'm having this same problem.

If I uncheck available to all users and click to connect I get a popup saying;

Connection was not provided by any settings service

BUT, even though the taskbar icon still appears as the two arrows facing up and down and not telling me I'm connected, I get connected to the VPN...

So there seems to be bug telling me this settings service, but then it's connecting me...

Can we please get an update to the openvpn plugin, this thing is buggy...

THANKS
