Bug Description

Placing the system into suspend mode only results in a blank screen. The power led is constant and does not flash, unlike the T1500 which does. A reboot in necessary to return to the desktop.

Chris, this is a system coming from enablement and is failing suspend. Can you have a look, please?

Marc -- Can you attach a fwts s3 test run to see if we can gather a bit more information as to why this machine is failing to suspend?

Marc -- Did the machine get past the first suspend? Unfortunately there's nothing I can see here logged via fwts.

nm, ran the wrong command, running fwts s3 --s3-multiple=3 only outputs a few lines. Testing with kentb's identical machine does not have any issue with suspend.

After the todays kernel update (2.6.32-32 x86_64) Dell Precision T1600 is successfully suspending and rebooting. Before the reboot was as well not successful, now works like it should be.

I was successful in suspending but not in rebooting with 2.6.38-8 x86_64 lucid back ported kernel.

Good job!

Just forgot to mention I was referring to Lucid, not Natty. Sorry for omitting it in the original post.
