Bug Description
Binary package hint: firefox
After saving a file from firefox to a fat32 partition, the file name is changed. Examples:
foo.exe becomes foo.exe.bin
foo.tar.gz becomes foo.tar.gz.tar
foo.zip becomes foo.zip.zip
This does not seem to happen when saving to a XFS file system.
System is Kubuntu Edgy, firefox version 2.0.0.1+
/etc/fstab entry of the fat32 partition is
UUID=xxxx-xxxx /daten vfat defaults,

This sounds like a Vfat issue more than a firefox issue. Can anyone with downs please try this and let us know if this is same for you? I dont have a windows partition so i can test it.
