transmission (Ubuntu)

Bug Description

Transmission is a very friendly and usable BitTorrent client, that I think we could even have as the standard client in Ubuntu.

There's a debian package here, http://packages.debian.org/unstable/net/transmission
A lot of development has been made in cvs since 0.6.1 though, they've added UPnP

Has trouble detecting gtk >= 2.10 (thinks it's less than 2.6.... )
But since gtk is in the build-deps we can cancel out that check.
This on line 176 instead.
    if runcmd expr `pkg-config --modversion gtk+-2.0` '>=' 2.6.0 || runcmd expr `pkg-config --modversion gtk+-2.0` '>=' 2.10.0

Thanks for this, and for these patches. At this stage in the release cycle there isn't much chance of getting this into Feisty. However, since there is a Debian package it will be automatically included in Feisty+1.

It looks like you're pretty interested in working on this package. If you'd like to help with this package, you might like to get involved in the MOTU team (https://wiki.ubuntu.com/MOTU/)

Transmission is already in gutsy, so I'll go ahead and mark this bug as fixed.
