Binary package hint: linux-source-2.6.19

2.6.19-7.11 no longer boots on Dell E520, last working kernel is 2.6.19-6.9 (2.6.20 failes as well), boot process stalls without visible reason

tried booting with noapic, no change

i've tried over the last weeks linux-image-2.6.20-2-generic, linux-image-2.6.20-3-generic and linux-image-2.6.20-4-generic. None of them booted (which by the way in mentioned in my bug report, just not that detailed).

The box is legacy free, meaning that i don't have a serial port to capture a boot log from the non-working kernels...

You're going to need to boot without the splash and quiet boot options (use grub menu to edit these out), and hopefully get a digital photo of the final screen.
