Bug Description

lp_archive@drescher:/tmp/tfheen$ dpkg -I libgcu-dev_0.6.3-3ubuntu1_ia64.deb | grep static
  This package provides the static library and header files.
lp_archive@drescher:/tmp/tfheen$ dpkg -c libgcu-dev_0.6.3-3ubuntu1_ia64.deb | grep a$
-rw-r--r-- root/root 1600 2007-01-09 00:45:01 ./usr/lib/libgcu.la

There is no static library; either add that or correct the description.
