Bug Description

Binary package hint: gtk2-engines

As far as I can tell what I'm seeing is the symptom of the gtk theme engine not working properly, this is on a qemu-kvm instance, using unity-2d.
The unity-2d specific theming seems to remain as intended.

It's nothing to do with gconf or gtk2-engines. The issue is that we don't have a gtk3 theme yet. That is currently being worked on. In the meantime, you can change your theme to the GNOME default (Adwaita) using dconf-editor. You need gnome-themes-standard installed for that though
