Bug Description
The Edgy version of asymptote depends on tetex-extra, while the Fiesty version has an optional dependency on texlive-pstricks.
This means that the Fiesty version can be installed either on TeXlive ot on TeTeX, while the Edgy version can be installed only on TeTeX. Since TeTeX has some bugs and has been no more mantained for a while, I (and most other people) use TeXlive instead.
The Edgy version would be good too, but with an optional dependency on texlive-pstricks.
