Was an error report created when it crashed? If so, please attach it to this bug. Either way, can you attach an offending file?

The same problem is in Ubuntu 7.10, kde. I tried to compile Labplot 1.5.1.6 and liborigin. Compiled version also crashed. Then I compiled Labplot 1.6.0 pre 3. This version successfully imported OPJ file from origin 7.5. Maybe Labplot 1.6.0 on Ubuntu 8.04 will work correctly.

Most probably bug will be fixed in LabPlot 1.6.0 (release date: December 17) but more testing is needed.

I also compiled Labplot 1.6.0 pre 3 (as described by stikonas), but my "import opj project" option in the File menu is disabled (see attached jpg)
Maybe I am missing something?

There is probably bug in some Debian patch, because self compiled version of labplot works, while official version doesn't.
