Bug Description

Binary package hint: gramps

I've installed Gramps.
My Gedcom files show a Gedcom icon -- this suggests the system knows what to do with them.
When I double-click a Gedcom file, I get this dialog:

'Cannot open /home/joachim/Desktop/14SEPT98.GED: No application is known for this kind of file.'

Opening the file from within Gramps works correctly.

Expected result: opening the file from Nautilus should launch or switch to Gramps and open it.

In Ubuntu 6.10, this file is installed to /usr/share/applications/gramps.desktop.

Change:

MimeType=application/x-gramps

to:

MimeType=application/x-gramps;application/x-gedcom

After making the above change, run:

sudo update-desktop-database.

I've marked this as 'fix released' as this now works for me with kernel 2.6.22 on Gutsy. Please reopen if you still have this problem.
