ppc only when using hpilp with hpaio scanning driver attempting to scan triggers the printer not the scanner . a sheet of paper is loaded and scanner is unavailable this seems to be a hardware layer problem (usb)

Bug Description
this happens wether I use a repository version or compile the latest from sourceforge.same source from sourceforge works correctly on pc.
using ibook g3 and hp C3100 series all in one printers
It appears that usb connections to the aio can only and always access the printer...
sane-find-scanner works
other distros google to have similiar problem eg big endian machines and hplip scanning.
note aio s are still not listed by sane,,,just hpilp Not a computer engineer....but this seems to be a problem that is a general linux usb problem not just ubuntu/kubuntu
all this works fine now on pc's with late (>.97 ) hplip big endian problem only?

OK I think this can close: I'm not sure what level hplip has reached now in the repositories as I use Dapper only BUT
It appears hplip 1.6.12 has this fixed.....somehow I didn't catch this....it is a bit of work....as the desktop metapackage and ALL printing packages need to be removed but it can now be done.
I now have ALL functions working in both pc and power pc
anyone wishing a copy of my deb for ppc on dapper email me
