Bug Description

This is more a wish then a bug report, but I don't know where to post a wish, feature request

Why not add this to ubuntu? And also add --hidden to the source, so it search hidden files / folders as well.

Thanks for your report. Your idea might get more attention and have
the possibility of being implemented if you would submit a
specification for this.

You should first check whether it already exists at the Ubuntu specs
page (https://launchpad.net/distros/ubuntu/+specs) in Launchpad. If
that is the case, feel free to contact the drafter of that spec about
your comments/suggestions. Otherwise you can start writing a spec
following the steps described in
        https://wiki.ubuntu.com/FeatureSpecifications.

I've packaged it for jaunty, http://downloads.tuxfamily.org/pandora/temp/jaunty/nautilus-search-tool/
Debian source is included. It would be nice if nautilus-search-tool could be included in the repos in time for karmic.

Another way would be to package two "nautilus scripts" written in bash/python that called gnome-search-tool (one for both hidden and visible files, and one for visible files only).

This bug is tagged needs-packaging which identifies it as a request for a new package in Ubuntu. As a part of the managing needs-packaging bug reports specification, https://wiki.ubuntu.com/QATeam/Specs/NeedsPackagingBugs, all needs-packaging bug reports have Wishlist importance. Subsequently, I'm setting this bug's status to Wishlist.

This package does not appear to be present in the repositories for Ubuntu 11.10. Can you clarify why the status for Ubuntu was changed to "Fix Released"?
