Bug Description

Binary package hint: gnome-network

Testing Live disc for Feisty Herd 2 (Ubuntu 7.04 PC standard) on Athlon 1800XP with rt2500 wirless network card. Dapper 6.04-1 running well and Ubuntu running since Warty.

System>>Administration>>Networking shows that NIC and wireless card are detected and NIC is auto selected (but not connected)

The wirless card is selected. Clicking on Properties button causes the application to instantly quit.

The Auto bug report system shows that this is a warty problem but it is Feisty Herd 2.

Someone needs to get the bug report system fixed.

I will try, but this is very difficult if I can't connect to the network as this gives my internet connection.

I will try to fugure a way but hopefully someone else will confirm this in the meantime.
