Bug Description
Binary package hint: metacity
This is (somewhat) related to bug #72732.
In previous versions of Metacity, Alt-F6 was a configurable keybinding. I have been using it to make windows maximize vertically in the past (Dapper). However, under Feisty (metacity 2.17.3-0ubuntu1) this is no longer possible as the keybinding seems to do some sort of same-application window switching.
The problem lies in the fact that Alt-F6 is still a configurable keybinding within the Keyboard Shortcuts application. A user should be able to over ride this keybinding. At this point, a warning isn't even displayed to state that this key combination is already used for another purpose.
