can't log into gnome

Bug Description
Hi
I've updated today my feisty box and I can't log into gnome anymore. I don't know what package update may have crashed my gnome set up, so feel free to send any indication to try.
I'm lookig at my dpkg.log and the only possible candidates I can think of are:
libgtk2.0-bin 2.10.8-0ubuntu2
libpango1.0-0 1.15.4-0ubuntu2
metacity-common 1:2.17.3.--0ubuntu1
libmetacity0 1:2.17.4--0ubuntu1
There were a bunch of other updates like firefox, tomboy and openoffice, but I don't think they could crash gnome's login.
using feisty on x86. The update was done today.

I've reinstalled and everything seems fine. I'll reopen this bug if the error reappears
