republisher freezes

Bug Description

scribe3 at chapel hill- republisher freezes up and/or some buttons fail to work mid-way through, e.g., set crop forward buttons do not register the new crop size, even though one can click on the button, or the whole republisher freezes. one has to just close it out and start again.

My instinct is to say reimage this. There are no errors in the apache log, but running dmesg on it produces about ten bazillion of these:

[19078.141186] update_page_cou[801]: segfault at b6a531a0 ip b6a531a0 sp b683d37c error 14 in libXdmcp.so.6.0.0[b6c0e000+4000]

That's a function of republisher I think (update_page_count), so it confirms the problem though it doesn't really give us any more info.

So my advice would be that a reimage will tell us whether this is a software issue or a hardware issue, because if it is software, the problem will stop occurring. If it's hardware, it will still be broken after reimage.
