Bug Description
Repositories source are unreadable for standard human
Why? There is no way to easily understand what for each repository is used
How to improve?
In the list, instead of URI put a localized name (eq. "security updates" or
"mises-à-jour de sécurité" if french)
In the text-boxes add the corresponding name field (for editing) and a localized
long description field (eq. "This Internet repository provide security updates
for Ubuntu. If you have a Internet connexion, it is recommended that you select
at least this repository.")
How to implement?
While synaptic uses the /etc/apt/
apt, one solution is to write these information in the comments lines. For example:
#:name:C:security updates
#:name:
#:description:
you have a Internet connexion, it is recommended that you select at least this
repository.
deb http://
I like the idea. I'll have to think about the i18n stuff a bit though.
