Bug Description

Binary package hint: xorg

Ubuntu perfectly recognized the card and used 'nv' with dapper & edgy. It chooses to use 'mesa' on Feisty, which is horribly slow and renders the system unusable.

are you sure that on dapper & edgy the card was recognized with this same hardware? I can't find the pci-id on /lib/discover/pci.lst on dapper, and on feisty it is marked as:

10de01d8 unknown unknown GeForce Go 7400

Is this issue still occurring with gutsy-beta?

According to the Xorg.0.log it is using the "nv" driver. Vassilis, is it possible that you meant it used "nvidia" before and now is using "nv"?

Closing, no reply. Besides, the mapping should be right now anyway.
