Usability improvements for command-line options

Bug Description

We should do some usability testing on bughelper, bugxml, and bugnumbers to see if we can get better usability out of the command-line tools. I looked at them and it's not very obvious what I need to do to do primitive queries and how to save clue files.

This probably implies we need better help files as well.

Is this covered by bug 79218 and bug 79222 maybe?

Not really. This is the bug asking for people to do usability testing and changing the command-line options themselves.

For instance, it covers removing the -l option and making bughelper smarter about URL parsing.

How about a specification targeted for 0.2 that will be about a review of the command line options ? Like finding better names for them, adding --long-options and ensuring consistency ? (

python optparse don't allow -XX options.
to use this format, you need --XX (-- for long format)

optparse.OptionError: invalid long option string '-la': must start with --, followed by non-dash

Agreed Let's do a cleanup and rethink of the options for v0.2. That will also require changes in the documentation.

It'd be nice to have some input on how to change the commandline interface - I feel the bug report is too vague to get resolved properly. Marking needs info.
