ntp-simple doesn't start on boot

Bug Description
The description of the ntp-simple package says it's a daemon. After installing it, I find no ntp daemon, and it's not up after reboot either.

Is it linked to from '/etc/rc2.d'? What happens if you start it via the init script yourself?
