Bug Description

Binary package hint: update-manager

Today when I launch update-manager on Feisty, it told me that not all updates could be installed normally and asked me if I'd like to dist-upgrade. I said yes and so it closed, asked for my password, and then shows a window that announces I'm upgrading to 7.04. After a few seconds, I get the following error:

Traceback (most recent call last):

  File "/usr/bin/update-manager", line 77, in <module>
    if controler.askDistUpgrade():

  File "/usr/lib/python2.5/site-packages/DistUpgrade/DistUpgradeControler.py", line 435, in askDistUpgrade
    if not self._checkFreeSpace():

  File "/usr/lib/python2.5/site-packages/DistUpgrade/DistUpgradeControler.py", line 420, in _checkFreeSpace
    free_at_least = apt_pkg.SizeToStr(abs(fs_free[dir].free)+1)

Could you please check if /var/log/dist-upgrade/main.log is ther e? If so, could you please attach it to this bugreport?

Thanks,
 Michael

I ran into this same problem trying to upgrade from edgy to feisty. Here's my main.log in case it'll help.
