Bug Description

Binary package hint: kontact

The following crash happens, if kontact is started with an other module than kmail. If you start kontact and switch to the summary view (or even start kontact with --module summary) kontact crashes. It seems that this only happens, when kmail is not already loaded.

The backtrace shows, that it has something to do with using dimap and a Kolab Resource.

Version information:
ii kontact 3.5.5-0ubuntu1 KDE pim application
ii kdepim-kio-plugins 3.5.5-0ubuntu1 KDE pim I/O Slaves
ii kdepim-kresources 3.5.5-0ubuntu1 KDE pim resource plugins
ii kdepim-wizards 3.5.5-0ubuntu1 KDE server configuration wizards
ii libkdepim1a 3.5.5-0ubuntu1 KDE PIM library
ii kmail 3.5.5-0ubuntu1 KDE Email client

Steps to reproduce:
- start kontact with "kontact --module summary" or with "kontact --module _any_other_module_than_kmail" and switch to the summary view.

Console output:

plimo@plimo-laptop:~$ kontact --module summary

Is this still an issue? I always start Kontact out in Summary view (since the beginning of Kontact & Summary View) and have been doing so since Breezy without any issues.

Can anyone else reproduce this at all?

The problem was solved for me with disabling knemo. Without knemo running, kontact did not crash.

Today I reactivated knemo and tried again. It seems, that this incompatibility is solved, kontact does not crash any longer, even with knemo running.
