Bug Description

Binary package hint: network-manager

Hi,

I am using NM 0.6.4-6ubuntu2 on kubuntu feisty.

I spotted what is my problem :

When my laptop starts, it has 2 interfaces available : one wired and one wireless.

If i let in my /etc/network/interfaces for each one :

auto ethX
iface ethX inet dhcp

/etc/init.d/networking configure them and after NM is started by dbus.

And when dbus starts NM, NM segfaults when configuring the wired one (see syslog)

I tried 3 things :

1) ifdown each interface and restart dbus : NM didnt segfault
2) ifdown only the wired one and restart dbus : NM didnt segfault
3) let them up and restart dbus : NM segfaulted

Please tell me if you need more information

it looks like is different now, i am not sure that what i descripted before is right.

now it only crash when wifi interface is up, and not when wired interface is up.

i dont really understand what is the problem, so please look at the syslog because the errors are in it :]
