after installing an ethernet card and changing hostname sudo stops working

Bug Description
if you install dapper without an ethernet card and then you install one and change hostname, sudo stops working and complains with this error: sudo: unable to lookup HOSTNAME via gethostbyname()
This is because without an ethernet card the hostname you choose during install gets associated to 127.0.0.1 in /etc/hosts, removing this line (in recovery mode) makes sudo work again
