The attached patch keeps the previous Ubuntu specific changes and adds two new control file changes to correct lintian errors (missing build dependency and two recommends lines for one binary), but leaves a raft of warnings from the Debian package. The patched system does build debs for the binaries.

I'll attach the warnings in a separate file.

This is as far as I can take it without advice and assistance. It may be sufficient. I'm not qualified to judge.

As suggested on IRC I update the binary dependencies for debconf in the relevant binary packages.

I also investigated the lsb warnings. It appears to me that they've been missing for some time and there are no related bugs filed, so my conclusion is that update-rc.d manages to put the scripts in an acceptable location without the lsb information in the inits (if it didn't, there would be bugs). My conclusion is that this is not worth carrying additional Ubuntu unique changes for.

There are no grave bugs for 700 vice 755 permissions, so same conclusion there.

Revised patch is attached. I'll attach the remaining warnings too.

As requested on #ubuntu-motu, I've added LSB inits (I based them on the Exim4 LSB inits). Additionally, I built and installed all the binaries and removed them. I tested that the MTA was functional. It appears that the init scripts all work correctly.

Attached are the things that lintian still whines about when building the binaries. Based on the feedback I've gotten on IRC, I think courier is now "good enough".

Cleaned up some of the template files and uploaded. Please keep an eye on this and close as fix released if built OK. Thanks for your contribution!
