Bug Description

The default page order for this printer is set to "reverse". Changine this to "normal" doesn't have any effect.

Thanks for your bug report.

The PPD for your printer indeed has outputorder=reverse:
$ /usr/lib/cups/driver/gutenprint.5.0 cat "gutenprint.5.0://escp2-c86/expert/C" | grep "DefaultOutputOrder"
*DefaultOutputOrder: Reverse
*StpDefaultOutputOrder: Reverse

Do the papers come out sorted with the default "reverse" option, or do you need to sort them?

Do the papers come out sorted with the default "reverse" option (page 1, 2, 3, ...), or do you need to sort them (page 3, 2, 1, ...)?

They just come out as if the driver doesn't interfere with page ordering, the first page last (3,2,1). The strange thing is that the option doesn't seem to have any effect.

Does this happen when printing from OpenOffice only?
It is known that OpenOffice does not produce DSC compliant postscript as described here: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/foomatic-db-hpijs/+bug/65621/comments/3

It will be difficult to pursue this bug further without access to a system displaying the problem. Please reopen if you have an opportunity to test on a newer Ubuntu system (gutsy or hardy), preferably from more than one application. Using a Live CD should work.
