I've figure out this problem.
This should be a side effect of bug #819609; Live CD boots at login screen and for logging in you should have selected the "guest user" in lightDM. But guest user doesn't store its home in the proper directory but under /tmp and it will be erased every logout. Fixing bug #819609 this problem should be fixed as well because then you will log in with the ubuntu user and you will have everything in the /home/ubuntu directory. For checking this, if you from a textual tty try to write an empty file in /home/ubuntu and then reboot you will find that file again.
Thanks for you help!
