The version of eclipse-cdt included in edgy (3.0.1-3) is incompatible with the version of eclipse. Version 3.1.1-0ubuntu2 from feisty b/i/r fine with prevu.

Please do. This bug renders Eclipse useless in Edgy, and wastes a lot of time for anybody to figure out what is wrong and fix.

I just unpacked the binary I found at

   http://download.eclipse.org/tools/cdt/releases/callisto/dist/3.1.2/

in my /usr/lib directory. It seems to work fine.

eclipse-cdt approved for backporting.

Additional rationale: Fixing Dapper->Edgy regression requires introducing an entirely new upstream version, unsuitable for SRU.
