crash when (perhaps) moving large folder

Bug Description

Binary package hint: mozilla-thunderbird

i was working with (large) mail folders and had the pointer changed to the pointer with a document attached (i do not understand what this means and how it works - it could be clever, but where is the documentation?).
i clicked then inside the same folder and .. crash!

i crashed the same way with a very large folder (100,000 mails accumulated from a list) - this time only renaming the folder (it seems to crash without a crash notice, if i try to open it!).

i attach the crash report in a separate comment. launchpad had a server error, probably because the crash report is 17 mb
