When resizing a certain table column's width, nvu segfaults at 0xb667b099 in NSGetModule

Bug #82417 reported by Jason Spiro

nvu (Ubuntu)

Bug Description

Binary package hint: nvu

Steps to reproduce:

* edit invoice.html (attached) in Normal mode.
* resize the rightmost column of the main table (the table with the order items) to make it bigger
    * see nvu_crashing_action.png (attached) to see exactly what to resize

What happens:

* Segfault. Nvu silently disappears offscreen with no error message or bug-buddy or Netscape Talkback crash reporter popup or anything.

Notes:

* I am using nvu 1.0 which is part of Ubuntu 6.06 x86 32-bit. I installed Ubuntu in French but I don't think this matters.
* gdb log with backtrace attached.
* I suspect maybe the joined cells in the table are crashing nvu, but that's just a hunch.

If this issue affects Dapper ( I don't remember if I was on Dapper or Edgy when I filed this bug, sorry :-( ) would it be worth fixing there?

Sorry for off-topic : Or perhaps it would be worth it to remove nvu from Dapper and add Kompozer (a third-party distribution of Nvu with bug fixes) and instead to add a transition package to migrate Dapper Nvu users to Kompozer?

Regards,
Jason

You could ask for a backport of Kompozer from Feisty+1 when it gets there, but that's the only way anything is going to happen.
