From log:
Setting up postfix (2.8.2-1ubuntu2.1) ...

Postfix configuration was not changed. If you need to make changes, edit
/etc/postfix/main.cf (and others) as needed. To view Postfix configuration
values, see postconf(1).

After modifying main.cf, be sure to run '/etc/init.d/postfix reload'.

Running newaliases
newaliases: warning: valid_hostname: misplaced delimiter: cbest-desktop.hsd1.nm.comcast.net.
newaliases: fatal: file /etc/postfix/main.cf: parameter myhostname: bad parameter value: cbest-desktop.hsd1.nm.comcast.net.
dpkg: error processing postfix (--configure):
 subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 75

Thanks for taking the time to submit this bug.

It looks like the parameter 'myhostname' in the file /etc/postfix/main.cf has an ending '.', which is invalid. Could you please change the line from something like

myhostname = cbest-desktop.hsd1.nm.comcast.net.

to

myhostname = cbest-desktop.hsd1.nm.comcast.net

and let us know if that solves your problem.
