Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better.

Please could you examine the file /var/log/squid/cache.log and post the part of the file corresponding to the time that you tried to install/upgrade. Be sure to check and remove any private information from the file before posting it. Then set the Status of this bug back to New so that it does not expire.

This will help us to find and resolve the problem.
