Terminal does not work on Xubuntu feisty

Bug Description

EIther using the Terminal through the applications>System>Terminal or through the laucher on the panel logs the user out of the computer and puts them back on the log in screen. This problem occurs on Xubuntu Feisty Herd 2 on an Pentium 3 with a 667 MHz processor.

I cannot reproduce this symptom on current Feisty.

I am getting the same symptoms.

I am running xubuntu 7.10 on a:

   IBM Netvista
   Intel Pentium 3
   935.025 Mhz
   Cpu Family: 6
   Model: 8
   256mB Ram.

I click on terminal, and it boots me out of xubuntu, and I have to log back in as I do when starting up...

Fixed, by changing Colour Depth Mode from 24 down to 16 in xorg.conf
