Huge noise in sound

Bug Description

There is a huge white noise during any audio/video playback on the i386 20070201 desktop livecd. Changing volume didn't help, neither did changing between ALSA, OSS, and the third option. It's like that every time I boot the livecd, don't have the option to test installation, so can't say if it's only on the livecd. When playing the sample video from the sample content directory the noise makes it almost impossible to understand what they are saying. I'm using SB Audigy.

Please report actual bugs in the software as real bugs under the appropriate distro, for ubuntu this is at: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bugs

The ISO tracking product should only be used for reporting on test results of the ISO images as such, with links to the real bugs found during testing. See: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Testing/ReportingResults

(I'e now moved this bug over to the regular ubuntu bug tracker)

Changed in ubuntu-iso-tests:
status: Unconfirmed → Rejected

Ok, this was a misconfiguration. Changing from digital to analog sound output solved the problem.
