Bug Description

Binary package hint: gnome-main-menu

If you have more than six items in your favorite applications, when you first login to a new session, gnome-main-menu will only show the first six. If you go to the "More Applications" menu and remove an item that is already in there and then add it back in the other items (i.e. the items over the first six) will now appear.

I also confirm this bug just as described above. Another way to get all the items to show is by just adding an item that is not in menu. It seems like this is a refresh problem.

Running Edgy 6.10 on AMD64

I have installed gnome-main-menu from SVN and this bug did not appear (but debian/ubuntu patches did not apply, so it is less integrated)

I can confirm this bug too and also the same annoying workaround.

A new package in feisty uses a new SVN checkout and fixes the problem. Shoult I mark it as "fix released" or not ? (it also affects edgy)

I've upgrade to feisty and now I can only get 6 applications even with the workaround...

There's also no "remove from favorites option"

Description: GNOME start menu applet
This applet provides a "start menu" for the GNOME desktop.

It features a list of favorite applications, and recently used documents.

It also integrates with the Beagle search tool to provide search facilities from the start menu. It provides shortcuts for common
system administration actions and integrates with network-manager for network status reporting.

Same here. I cannot remove applications from favourites with the gui. Adding applications only works with drag and drop to the computer icon on the panel.

Hi,

I had the same problems with feisty till i found deb packages from svn repository.
With those packages the above does not exist any more.
And don't worry, the package creator has taken care of, everything is working smoothly.
