I hit this bug when disabing the Static Application Switcher. The unity settings panel was still running fine, so I would not have noticed this without apport.

Crashed when disabling snapping windows. When making the changes system was very slow to work with.

ok it seems with every change in compiz-setting-manager there is a bug, so I will not continue to report the bugs because I sure you guys are on it and don't want to annoy anyone.

btw even with these problems I really like what you guys are doing.

Getting this crash trying to run compizconfig without Unity (in fallback GNOME mode) as I hate the Unity interface and the GNOME-shell interface as well.

I had this a similar/related issue. It was caused by the libcanberra package missing.

   apt-get install libcanberra-gtk3-module

Might prevent the error.... might not be a fix yet though, as ccsm does not crash any more but changing the settings does not take effect (left_panel_Icon_size and auto_hide off) does not work.
