Bug Description

Binary package hint: amarok

Computer was idle, so presumably the collection scanner crashed. I had recently added a DAAP source.

I don't want to assume, even though seeing you are running the 2.6.20 kernel there is a good chance you are running Feisty in-turn using Amarok 1.4.5. But in case you aren't, what version are you using?

I have a DAAP server here and haven't had any problems just yet. I wonder if it tried to scan during a network hiccup. I have had scanner crashes in the past with something like this, but not recently.

apt-cache policy amarok
amarok:
  Installed: 2:1.4.5-0ubuntu2
  Candidate: 2:1.4.5-0ubuntu2
  Version table:
 *** 2:1.4.5-0ubuntu2 0
        500 http://gb.archive.ubuntu.com feisty/main Packages
        100 /var/lib/dpkg/status

With this and the last 1.4.4, the changing landscape of DAAP servers seemed to continuously trigger 'updating collection'. I am on a big network usually with ten to forty different DAAP providers, mostly from iTunes 7 (which of course don't work, but could be confounding?)

Good afternoon,

I noticed the last time this was updated, was 2007-02-10. Are you still having problems with amarokapp crashing with SIGSEGV and DAAP servers? Can you please up date this bug with the current status of this bug?

Thanks for taking the time to update this bug
